Here’s the trailer of “A Weaver’s Tale”, Sheron Dayoc’s documentary about the Yakan tribe weavers and the dangers they face amidst the war in Mindanao. Sheron was one of the filmmakers who won the ASIAN PITCH 2008 sponsored by MediaCorp Singapore and NHK Japan. I wrote the script and post-production was done in JesCom.

Hi. My son’s class section is 4-Yakan at the Ateneo de Manila. Their topic now in Araling Panlipunan is the Yakan tribe of Mindanao. How can I get hold of copies of The Yakan (Aarica) and A Weaver’s Tale (Dayoc) to show in their class? Would the cinematographers require payment? Hi jackie. I work in Ateneo.:) (In JesCom) Unfortunately, Sheron doesn’t own the rights to A Weaver’s Tale. But what I can do is email you the research I used when I wrote the script.
